Abstract

|
The effects of various supports on the activity and the selectivity for the ethylene oxidation was investigated over Ag/α-Al2O3 and Ag/SnO2 by Auger, EPR spectroscopy and reaction studies. The results indicate that over Ag/SnO2 catalyst O- chemisorbed on SnO2 participates in the complete oxidation of ethylene lowering the selectivity for the formation of ethylene oxide.
